Alhambra Valle de Uco Malbec Reserva 2023 CS20231031 The domaine's small ten-hectare estateFrom Finca Abril, a family operation farming old vines in La Consulta deep in Mendoza's Uco Valley, comes a Malbec that leans earthy and savory rather than sweet and jammy. High elevation and well draining alluvial soils keep things fresh, and a year in seasoned French oak adds gentle spice without burying the fruit. This is the honest, hearty side of Argentine Malbec, the kind of bottle that overdelivers and disappears fast at the dinner table.
