Meldar 'Royal' Tree |150cm Bare Root Tree | 2 Years Old Round though a nearby pollination partnerEnjoy delicious, russet coloured fruit, one of the few medlar varieties that can be eaten fresh. Stunning autumn foliage turns a rich, golden orange. Fruit must be 'bletted' (over ripened) until soft before eating, developing a unique, delicious flavour. Perfect for making traditional medlar jellies and jams. A charming, compact tree with a rich history, even mentioned by Shakespeare. Expertly pruned before dispatch to encourage a strong, bushy shape.
