MT-1 (Melanotan 1, also called afamelanotide) is a synthetic 13-amino-acid analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH) that selectively activates melanocortin-1 (MC1R) and to a lesser extent MC4R receptors

This optimal amount has been shown to increase the glutathione levels of red blood cells by up to 35%, contributing to immunity and glowing skin

Use: Sterile water for injection (SWFI) preferred 0.9% normal saline acceptable alternative 5% Dextrose/Water (D5W) also used in clinical settings Reconstitution math for 60mg vial: For a 1mL total volume: dissolve in 1mL sterile water 60mg/mL For a more typical 2-5mL volume (easier to dose): dissolve in 2mL 30mg/mL Because you're using sterile water (no preservative), once reconstituted: Keep refrigerated Use within 24-48 hours for best stability Some protocols use a fresh reconstitution each session Dosing Protocols Clinical and research dosing varies significantly based on the goal: Cognitive Enhancement (Healthy Users) Dose: 510mL of pharmaceutical ampoule solution per day (roughly 500mg1000mg of the protein hydrolysate) For lyophilized powder: 60100mg per session is a common starting range Route: Subcutaneous (subQ) or intramuscular (IM)

Relative photoluminescence intensity was then calculated from the ration between intensity at each time point to the initial intensity before irradiation
