Like the Malconsorts this intensely mineral-driven effort is somewhat less structured than usual though it certainly doesn’t lack for power and punch

This isn’t classic and stylistically I prefer the 2010 but with that said

drink this beauty anytime over the coming 12-15 years

Bellevue Mondotte Vintage:2013 (two-thirds of the vines wereRuby red. Roasted plum, toffee, game and nutty oak on the nose. Lush, fat and stuffed with fruit. A wonderfully pliant 2002 with noteworthy density and richness. Sound acids and suave but firm edged tannins give this excellent balance. Finishes very long and ripe. This is even stronger than it appeared to be from barrel last spring. Stephen Tanzer
