pencil lead and tilled soil

I hasten to add that from tasting

black currant and subtle floral wisps

As is usually the case the broad-shouldered flavors possess more size and weight though perhaps a bit less than I usually see between the Ech and this wine

pure and layered red pinot fruit

Rossignol Trapet, Gevrey Chambertin Clos Prieur other_regions_italy pencil lead and tilled soil(planted in 1985). A markedly more elegant nose shows aromas of the essence of red pinot fruit, spice, lavender and a hint of spiced tea. There is very good volume to the delicious and energetic middle weight flavors that retain good detail on the saline and youthfully austere finish that is presently a bit tough. While the tannins will undoubtedly soften with time in bottle, its not clear whether this will ultimately harmonize.
