It was an overcast day but this allowed for the low clouds to set the scene as I looked towards Po Lin Monastery

even if it has been snowing in the mountains for quite a while

These colors made for an interesting contrast to the black

The overcast skies allows for some longer shutter motion and with that you can give a scene a different feeling. With the water moving along these rocks on Oahu the water turns into almost a fog on the rocks as it climbs and recedes on them in a quick fashion just after sunrise.
