VIEW OF BEAUTY ALONG THE RIVER ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK I came upon these burr

I came upon these burr oak trees highlighted by the snowfall on the branches that always make for a beautiful scene

Its been overcast just about every day since the first of the year so wanted to photograph a nice sunset for a change instead of the gloomy weather that we have had

waterfalls form as the afternoon sun begins to melt the snowfall from the previous day only to have that snow and water freeze overnight as the temperatures drop to -9F to 0F creating impressive and colorful waterfalls at Starved Rock State Park

A box elder tree comes into view during a misty summer morning that brings mystery and suspense along with a colorful sunrise while walking the trails at Wildflower Park in Northern Illinois
