Vintage 9ct Gold, Amethyst Drop Earrings feed-gender-unisex Please add what you wouldThese amethyst earrings are a lovely royal purple colour. A rather fun fact about amethysts is that their name comes from the Greek word amethystos, which means not drunken. The Greeks believed that if you wore an amethyst, you would be protected from drunkenness (and protected from poisons.) These earrings might not protect you from getting drunk (the Greeks did love their myths!), but they will certainly create a stir at any party.
