Soft fabric in Rust ilford 1 x Ilford 60x100cm bathThe story of this velvet is akin to the creation of the Innate collection itself. The desire was to create a superbly thick and luxurious velvet in a rich rust tone. Italy's premium velvet weaver realised the weave but achieving the colour was a whole other story. Australias desert heart achieved its iconic red colour from the rusting of its vast inland seas. That rust colour is not something contemporary dyers entirely understand but we persevered.
