Superb Antique Black Forest Hand Carved Game Plaque Match Holder, Striker w Bird and Basket raised silver plates which is in good conditionAn exceptionally fine hand carved wood sculpture from the Anomalies movement, mid late 1800s, the delicacy of the anatomical details on this bird and basket match holder is thrilling. On a fine and ornately trimmed plaque approximately 1 2" in depth, the piece is substantial for its kind at 11" tall, 7. 75" widest and 2. 5" at deepest. A full relief carving rather than usual bas relief, and in great condition. Very good to excellent condition for age
