Royal Doulton Sealyham Lying HN1052 — Medium DB238 Staffordshire Pit-dogThe Royal Doulton Sealyham Lying is among the rarest models in the Doulton dog range introduced in 1931 and discontinued as early as 1946, its brief fifteen year production window makes it one of the most seldom encountered pieces a collector will pursue. The recumbent pose captures the breed's characteristic relaxed composure, and the modelling quality on this early piece is excellent.
