The large acropora coral specimen has some expected losses and a repair to one section which is visible from the underside

This beautifully dramatic and atmospheric picture has similarities in its style (partfiulary to the figures) to the romanticism work of William Blake who also created the painting ‘A Vision of the Last Judgment’ that was designed in 1808 before becoming a lost artwork

The cloak is very finely and profusely embroidered in gold thread all around the stand-up collar

The porcelain head is marked Depose Tete 5
