Rare Georgian Era 18k Gold Locket Brooch Mourning Pin, Engraved c. 1802 for a 2 Year Old Child 14k gold tiger's eye Shown in a period boxA rare one engraved for "A O Hodgson, died 28 Jan 1802 aged 2 years". From my own collections of decades: Antique 18k Gold and a plaiting of baby and likely mother's hair art in this mourning brooch, c 1802, Georgian Era. Total weight: 2. 7 grams. Plaiting of brunette and pale blond hair inside, and engraving on back. I sometimes use these grouped on a jacket lapel, or clasped over a strand of pearls so many compliments! Very good to excellent
