Antique Dutch 19th Century Jewelry Box in Beautiful Old Natural Tortoise Shell, 6" x 3" x 2" Id'd Three days before the execution

Three days before the execution of Louis XVI

It's been fun

Both swag posts have been beautifully hand turned and assembled from wood that has gained a rich deep patina over time

but the perimeter has had loss apart from not side top and the back panel

or to allow you to own a set for your collection at a greatly reduced price due to the imperfections

Antique Dutch 19th Century Jewelry Box in Beautiful Old Natural Tortoise Shell, 6" x 3" x 2" Id'd Three days before the executionDomed top and serpentine form on this elegant mid late 1800s jewelry box, the last of my decades long collection being closed out. The top is semi transparent shell so you can see the beautiful mottles of cognac to chocolate of the shell, while the rest of the box is in wood with tortoise shell veneer. It does have an ivory lip, and ivory feet (one slightly different and apparently a replacement). Full measurements noted on the photos. Very good
