A Large French Bleached Oak Monastery Table Burr Fernand JEANNEAU (1884-1966)A Large French Bleached Oak Monastery Table from the early 20th century exemplifies monastic restraint and functional design. The generous rectangular top is supported by substantial plank legs connected by a single stretcher, creating a composition of architectural clarity. The oak's later bleaching has developed a sophisticated silvery grey patina, softening the wood's original warmth whilst maintaining its structural integrity and timeless appeal.
