Joy of the Harvest by Simon Dewey Subject_Missionary Art neither let it be afraidAbout this Image: Few metaphors are more compelling than the law of the harvest: As a man sows, so shall he reap. Yet every farmer knows the secret to a successful harvest is not just in the seeds, but in preparing and maintaining the soil. In the parable of the sower, we learn that the seeds that fell by the wayside, in stony places, or among thorns, failed to take root and therefore provided no fruit. Though the seeds were good, the soil was not.
