Henri Chauvet, Abrupts 2023 Advanced Skinsy Very good Chenin

Very good Chenin

this is the ideal bottle to see out the summer with

This would be good if you left it in the cellar and forgot about it

as in daybreak

a bit of time on the lees

Henri Chauvet, Abrupts 2023 Advanced Skinsy Very good CheninPlace: Auvergne, France Grape: Gamay D'Auvergne Vibe: Smoking Another age worthy bottling. There is plenty of that distinct smokiness Henri manages to coax out from his prized parcels. Iron, mineral, and just bloody good Gamay made without any tricks. There is so much going on here, it's almost overwhelming. Dried flowers, Szechuan spice, pine forest. My list of tasting notes for this one went on, and on, and on. I can pretty much still taste this.
