Royal 6.0 Amp Commercial Vacuum Motor Armature Replacement Advance The cover encloses the beltThis replacement armature (Part #1680001000) is the rotating core of the motor in Royal 6. 0 amp commercial upright vacuums. The armature carries the commutator and windings that the carbon brushes ride against, converting electrical current into the spinning force that drives the suction fan and brushroll. A worn armature shows up as sparking at the brushes, loss of power, a grinding or screeching motor, or a vacuum that runs intermittently.
