These triangular studs were cast from a mould I made in place of lichen in the northern Lake District

This piece was made early on in my smithing journey and isn't perfect

The stone was cut and shaped by me and has been set with a silver bezel stamped with the words ‘NOBODY’S FOOL’

I cut and polished it to make highlight the quartz and it looks amazing set in sterling silver

The stone is high in iron pyrite (also known as fools gold
